Evaluation of cognitive function using standardized tests to evaluate a variety of cognitive processes. Major areas include language, problem-solving, and reasoning. Also able to determine a person's developmental level, limitations from a brain injury or illness. They are typically adjusted for age to include developmentally-appropriate activities.
